Web detective is a competitive product that has been on the market for almost 11 years now. Likely one of the founders of this niche, product creator Intrigue Learning, is struggling to keep up with a rapidly changing market. Customers want immediate and easy access to all-things 'Public Records' and 'Background Check' related. Although Web detective is a viable alternative, we recommend Records Registry.

Web Detective used to be owned and operated by a gentleman by the name of "Phil" if I recall. Intrigue Learning acquired this product in 2004 and added it to their stable of products including Registry Cleaner "PCPowerscan" (not the infamous hijacker of the same name).

The webdetective product is mostly unchanged since the change in ownership, sure they'll tell you how many hundreds of hours of research has gone into updates, but for the most part - I find the web detective service to be a jumble of barely-navigatable links. Stick with Records Registry and you will get everything Web Detective offers and a whole lot more!
